Airtel was the first to bring the Native idea of Free basics (free Facebook) to Nigeria then there also Etisalat now known as 9mobile follows suit by joining to roll out the free Facebook service to their network users too. While Airtel has decided to put a halt and makes free Facebook (Free basics) data bandwidth capped, 9mobile still maintain its usually unlimited bandwidth. The newest Development was send to all Airtel Customers that the free Facebook service is now capped at 20MB per day which means users can use beyond that data limit Else who'll have to subscribe to an active data plan by dialling *141# and choose from the preference

Below is the Message Send by Airtel to all customers on the Network as its Read;
Dear customer, please be informed
that Free Facebook service is now
capped at 20MB daily. For unlimited
Facebook experience, dial *141# to activate a data plan

This was generally send to Everyone on the Networks so it should start taking effect as you are reading this article, Anyway I don't see reason why Airtel have to reduce the bandwidth to 20MB per day considering the fact that it just a free Facebook mode with Pictures display although There had been a trick to Show Images/Photos on the free Facebook mode which has already been shared on this blog.. What do you think about this changes Airtel made to Restrict users from unlimited free Facebook service?
